Education Partners Overview

Altova Education Partner Program

Altova Education Partners can teach courses about using Altova products, or they use Altova products as a tool for learning about XML technologies as well as broader software engineering and Web development topics.

Altova Education Partner Program

XML technologies are employed across J2EE, Microsoft .NET, database and Web applications and are a required skill for software development professionals. Altova xmlspy® is the industry standard XML development environment and the perfect learning tool to accelerate understanding of advanced XML concepts while simultaneously enabling both students and professionals to become highly proficient at working with XML technologies such as XML Schema, DTDs, XSL/XSLT, WSDL, SOAP, and more.

By partnering with Altova, your organization is helping to ensure that your students obtain the practical industry skills needed to succeed outside of the classroom environment, and can increase class enrollment size through various co-marketing activities designed to raise awareness of your educational services offerings. Examples of current educational partners include organizations engaged in such activities as:

  • IT training companies offering advanced courses on xmlspy® or other Altova products
  • Colleges and universities teaching XML in conjunction with classical computer science or engineering topics
  • Continuing education and training companies offering generic XML courses that use xmlspy® or other Altova products to visually illustrate concepts
  • Many other possibilities

The spectrum of educational institutions is a very broad one, and Altova recognizes the different needs that different institutions may have. Our education partner program, therefore, distinguishes between two tracks: Training partnerships and Education partnerships. Training partnerships give you permission to use Altova trademarks, such as the Altova logo, and carry some requirements such as the use of Altova software in your classes as well as getting instructors certified. Education partnerships are available only to certain eligible organizations, such as accredited schools and universities, and carry no requirements regarding the use of software or certification of trainers.

Both tracks do, of course, provide for a certain number of free licenses for classroom use depending on the program level, but the Education track also includes an education discount for purchasing additional licenses for classroom or research use.

There are three levels of Training partnerships available:

To find out which of these would suit you best, please click on each link and review the requirements for each level.

For the Education partnerships there is just one level, but your organization needs to qualify for the program by meeting certain eligibility requirements.
